Please join me for a free immigration workshop that I am hosting with fellow immigration lawyer Tala Hartsough at the Glen Park Public Library on Wednesday, February 20, at 6:15 p.m. We will not provide free individual consultations or answer very case-specific questions as that is more appropriate for a private consultation for a number of reasons. Rather, we will discuss comprehensive immigration reform – what it is, why it is in the news and how it may affect you. We will also go over common scenarios based on questions we are often asked in our immigration practices. These include wanting to know how get a green card through marriage for a boyfriend or girlfriend; how to get lawful status for an employee; and how to get lawful immigration status through humanitarian means such as a U visa for victims of crime, political asylum, or VAWA for victims of domestic violence.
