Helping You Turn Your American Dream Into A Reality

What do I need to know if the DACA program ends?

| Feb 8, 2024 | Firm News

Media reports from the last week culminated in a White House leak to Politico yesterday that the administration is expected to announce the end of the DACA program on Tuesday. There will be a six-month delay to end the program. If you currently hold DACA status, I encourage you to keep informed and invest in a consult with a licensed immigration attorney so that you can know your options and plan ahead. If you would like to schedule a consultation with me, please call me at 415-413-8472 or click hereThis fact sheet from the Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC) also has excellent information about key issues such as work authorization, social security, travel abroad, and a know your rights infographic. I also encourage you, as much as possible, not to despair and to use your imagination and energy for the positive rather than worrying yourself sick with all the “What ifs?”. As Jose Antonio Vargas said recently, “Whatever happens with DACA, we will make it work. We have always made it work.”
